WHY CONFINED SPACE TRAINING?
We are going to start this off with some bad news.
Did you know that alone in the United States, there are about 11,000 injuries in confined spaces every single year? And even worse fact is that there are about 92 fatalities in confined spaces every year, and more than 60% of the documented deaths occur among would-be rescuers. That averages out to almost two deaths per week. But the unknown numbers worldwide are much higher than we can imagine. How many accidents happen in your country or at your worksite?
The problem with this is that if the workers would have the necessary training and were following procedures, almost all of these incidents could have been prevented, but you don't really know when to follow procedures in a confined space if you don't know how to identify confined spaces with its hazards.
!!! It is recommended that everyone who works in a Confined Space should have the necessary training. There is for now no expiration date, but you should renew it, for example, if you are too long out of business !!!
